Who we are

Leap Journey is operated by Micah John Walker ("we", "us"). Contact us at support@nurtura.app. This policy explains how the Leap Journey mobile app and this website handle information.

The short version

• The app does not require an account.
• Child profiles, daily logs, notes, insights, memories, captions, and photos stay in the app's private storage on your device.
• We do not operate cloud sync, partner sharing, advertising, cross-app tracking, or behavioral analytics.
• The app does not use generative AI or send child data to an AI provider. Its summaries are produced by deterministic rules on your device.
• RevenueCat and the app store process limited purchase information when an entitlement is checked, purchased, or restored.

Information handled on your device

You choose whether to enter a child's name or nickname, date of birth or due date, life stage, daily sleep and feeding observations, mood and behaviour signals, milestone notes, free-text notes, photos, captions, notification preferences, and language preference. This information is stored locally in the app sandbox. We do not receive it.

Photos selected or taken for a memory are copied into the app's private documents directory. Leap Journey does not upload those photos and disables location metadata collection when taking a photo through the app.

Information processed by others

RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user identifier, platform and app information, purchase history, receipt or transaction information, and entitlement status to validate the one-time purchase, restore access, prevent purchase fraud, provide purchase analytics, and support purchase issues. We do not send child profiles, logs, notes, or photos to RevenueCat. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Apple processes App Store downloads, payments, refunds, and related account or transaction information under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your payment-card details.

This static website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, cookies, account forms, or embedded third-party fonts.

Permissions

• Photos and camera: requested only after you choose to add a memory. You can deny or revoke access in system settings.
• Notifications: requested only if you enable the optional local daily reminder. No push token is created or sent to us.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Local information remains until you delete it. You can delete an individual memory in the app. In Profile, deleting a child permanently deletes that profile and its associated logs, insights, memories, captions, and copied photo files from the device. Deleting the app removes its app sandbox, subject to your device and backup settings.

Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat may be retained for transaction integrity, entitlement restoration, legal obligations, and fraud prevention under their policies. To ask about information we control, or to exercise applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability rights, email support@nurtura.app. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children and caregivers

Leap Journey is intended for parents, guardians, and adult caregivers, not for use by children. An adult may enter information about a child to use the app. Do not enter child information unless you have authority to do so. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through an account, cloud service, advertising system, or website form.

Legal basis and international processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, local processing is performed at your direction to provide the app. Photo, camera, and notification access depends on your choice and device permission. Purchase processing is necessary to provide and restore the paid entitlement and to protect transaction integrity. RevenueCat or Apple may process transaction information outside your country using the safeguards described in their policies.

Security and changes

Local records use the operating system's app sandbox. No method of storage is completely secure, so protect your device and backups with appropriate access controls. We may update this policy when the product or law changes and will post the new effective date here. Material changes will be communicated in the app or store listing when appropriate.
